The Weavers House B&B, Batcombe, Somerset BA4 6AB

How to get here :

Batcombe is in between Bruton and Frome, off the A359. The nearest train station is Bruton, 3 miles away, though there are better connections to Castle Carey which is 25 minutes away. Taxis can be booked with Chinnock Taxis on 07703 068 878 if you are coming via train to Bruton Station. Please book your taxi a day in advance.

The Weavers House is on the corner of Kale Street and Back Lane, with a sign on the front gate but this is quite low down to the eye. Sat Nav usually works but a useful local landmark to help find the house is a sign on Kale Street with “Designers Makers” on it. We are several houses pass this sign on the right hand side (if you have the sign on your left).

Parking is on our back drive, which is the first right as you turn onto Back Lane. Or you can park on Kale Street itself, but please be mindful tractors may need to get by and not to park in front of the wooden gates on the opposite side of the road! Please click here for a local Map.

The B&B

The Weavers House sits at the heart of the small conservation village of Batcombe. This 17th Century Grade Two listed house has been beautifully restored by local craftsmen to offer very comfortable accommodation. The double room has comfortable twin beds and a light, spacious en suite bathroom with a free-standing bath. You will have your own key and access from the garden so there is flexibility to come and go as you please. There is  also free unlimited Wifi.

Breakfast is organic and local, with eggs from our own chickens and home made bread. As well as a traditional English breakfast, avocado, home made granola, coconut yoghurt and fruit compote are also on offer.

B&B rates are £80 per night for the twin ensuite, based on two people sharing (single occupancy rate £75).  For bookings, please email [email protected]. Please note that we don’t accept cards.

The Weavers House hosts Yoga classes for Batcombe residents, as well as Ayurvedic massage. If you would like to combine your stay with a private yoga session or massage, please just ask.

“This is just a quick note (card to follow in the post), while I am having my tea break, to thank you for the most fantastic weekend at your lovely family home in Batcombe. It was such a pleasure to spend time in the company of like-minded people, and I so enjoyed the wonderfully energising yoga, delicious food and interesting workshops. I feel revived, renewed and revitalised! A very big Thank You!”

Things to do:

The countryside of Somerset’s rolling Mendip Hills is some of England’s loveliest and you can start exploring directly from the  garden.  There are several lovely walks through open countryside across and along the valleys using a network of footpaths.

There are also many local things to do:
