New book to help you choose your next retreat
AyurvedicYogi was favourably reviewed in Caroline Sylger-Jone’s book Body & Soul escapes: Britain & Ireland by Footprint Books. Caroline came on an Ayurveda and Yoga weekend in October 2008:
“Sivananda Yoga teacher and ayurvedic therapist Jo Johnston is passionate about Ayurveda and the role it can play in our stressful lives… The weekends include a workshop on ayurvedic theory to help you discover your dosha and how to cook for your body type. On Sunday, there’s a cooking workshop where you learn to make chutneys, ghee, chai, chapattis, kitchari and other one-pot meals. You’ll be given clear, interesting handouts to take away…”
The book has so far featured in a BBC Radio 4 programme on wellbeing holidays, and in Psychologies, Red, The Guardian, The Times Body & Soul supplement, Prima, Homes & Gardens and the Daily Telegraph. It will also feature in the March 2009 Condé Nast Traveller spa supplement, out February, and in the March issue of Sainsburys magazine, also out February. You can take a look at some sample pages here.
You can order from your local bookshop or from Amazon. Amazon does the best deal, but can you click through from the ‘buy me’ icons on Caroline’s site www.carolinesylgerjones.co.uk – this way, amazon gives her a tiny fee to make up for the fact that it discounts the book so hugely.
